Kelly E. Potter’s work investigates the bridge between wild and the man-made. ​Kelly works with ceramics, oil painting, and sculpture/video mediums at her studio in Easthampton, MA. Her slab-built ceramic “critters” began as a playful investigation of clay and wood firing processes. Utilizing the spontaneity of the medium to foster playfulness and experimentation, her critters evolved to become not one species but many fuzed together. Each one channels themes of awkwardness, dissociation, and bliss.
